Red-lipped Batfish (Galapagos Batfish)
Ogcocephalus darwini. Here is a bizarre and rather ugly fish who walks on the bottom with his pectoral fins. They have a special "lure" on the top of their heads called an illicium. They tend to be nocturnal and the top of the illicium is bioluminescent, thought to help attract prey. This specimen was about 4" in length.
